GCSE English Literature students enjoyed visiting Shakespeare’s Globe just before half term to watch a performance of Macbeth which is one of their set texts.
There was a great atmosphere in the theatre and all our students were very attentive and enthusiastic. Whilst some of them were surprised by the modern dress production and Lady Macbeth’s fetching Marks and Spencer pyjamas, it has been a wonderful teaching tool and has led to many productive classroom discussions.
