Elijah Stark tells us about his journey at Brampton College. We wish him the best of luck with his studies abroad!
“I’m so happy – I’ve got the grades I need to go to Lithuania to study Medicine! I have a Lithuanian passport and it seems like a really great opportunity to study there – it’s very exciting!
At my previous school, I didn’t get the grades to study Biology and Chemistry which I needed to study to get into Medicine. I didn’t really know what to do, but John (the Principal) was so supportive and encouraging. I went on to retake my first year and here I am! Without this support, I wouldn’t be going on to study Medicine.
Also, the reputation of Brampton was very good and I knew it was a prestigious place so the opportunity to study here was very exciting. It certainly lived up to expectations. The one to one support here is unlike any other college. There are small class sizes and the teachers are always there for you. Without hesitation I knew I could go to teachers and ask for help. You develop a rapport with your teachers which is a very different experience to my previous school. They push you to be your best. The teachers also have the time of looking through past exam papers and have detailed knowledge of assessment. This really helps you hone your revision. But it’s a lot more than just learning support, it’s the moral support as well.
The careers department is another standout feature. The UCAS workshops and help with personal statements really help you create a competitive application to university. Brampton is just so attentive to the importance for each student to have a strong application – much more so than any other school.”
